How To Win In Chouette According To Phil Simborg

Phil Simborg is known to many of us.  He has been in the spotlight when it comes to a lot of games, backgammon being one of them.  Actually, it was from one of his articles that I got interested in choutte backgammon.  According to him, chouette is one of the most exciting games he has ever played.  He shares some winning tips in an article, which I would like to go over with you, in case you want to try your hand chouette – and I don’t see why you wouldn’t!

Tip #1: Be the best.

Phil’s point is that you should know the game and be good at it.  He plays to win so he makes sure that he is as good or better than the other players.  If your aim is to win, then this tip should be first and foremost in your mind.  If you still wish to play even if you are not that good, then you should be prepared to lose at least once.

Tip #2: Play for stakes that you can afford.
This applies to the best and the worst players – it does not matter how good you are, you should always only bet what you can afford.  Even if you are the best player in the world, if you put in your rent money as your bet, you are in terrible danger.  What will happen if you lose that money?  If that is not enough to wake you up to realize what you should bet, then I don’t know what will.
