Strategies, tips and stories about backgammon.

More on Online Backgammon; Why it Might be the Next Craze (after Poker?)

Is backgammon the next poker? In terms of popularity. We’ve talked a lot about this on recent postings.

But damn it, backgammon is becoming more and more popular and I think someone has to bring this subject up, right?

The games have much in common.

Their origins date back many centuries ago and since it was invented, a lot of people have become fortunate playing it.

Backgammon is played by two players.

Like poker, backgammon can be a very profitable online game.

It is true that when you win, a certain amount of your winnings goes to the house, but if you find a good casino , you’ll see that the amount they take away can be really insignificant. You can play for dollars per point or you can play a match for a set amount. And any variant you may choose can make you really fortunate!

If you consider you have a sufficient lead, you can propose doubling your stakes, and, if your opponent accepts, you can actually win lots of real cash.

Online backgammon has several variants. Hypergammon and Nackgammon are the most frequently played. Chouette is also a Backgammon variation and it can be played by three or more players. Each player tosses a die and whoever rolls the highest number becomes the box. The player who has the second highest roll is the captain and he stands for the rest of the players for the first game. The other players play as the captain or the box, in turns, depending on who wins.

Although backgammon might seem a little bit complicated at first, you will soon see that in fact it is an entertaining and fun skill game.

With correct strategy it can be profitable as well.

We’ll try to guide you on those strategies in future postings.
