Online Power Play: Greek Company, Intralot, Expanding into Backgammon

The online powerhouse Intralot is moving into the backgammon business. This is not surprising news.
Intralot, a Greek company, normally concentrates on lotteries (something I know a lot about, see my book to the right), and sports betting.
Now, Intralot, or so I am told, has bought into Cyber Arts (35 percent), which provides online platforms for games like poker and backgammon.
That’s pretty cool because Intralot has a great reputation.
The word I am hearing is that this acquisition is only the start of Intralot’s expanding plans.
Meanwhile, Play65 is running a special Christmas backgammon tournament on Dec. 25, with monies divided between more than 100 players.
I received email lately asking me to get back to strategy postings, so to that I say: watch this site next week.
A very Merry Christmas to all of our viewers.
And may 2010 be the best of all years for you and your families.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
