Sushi Backgammon? A Pretty Cool Version of B.G. Available NOW for iPads
I HATE reprinting press releases…so boring, you know?
But I had to tell you about this…if you are a backgammon freak like I am.
And…if you happen to own an iPad.
Blur Labs LLC, a provider of visually stunning mobile applications, has announced the availability of Sushi backgammon for the Apple iPad.
Now here’s the PR stuff…
They say, “With true to life without dice and moving game pieces, Sushi Backgammon offers amazing realistic game with all the freedoms and benefits of a traditional council, but with a twist – the pieces are sushi.”
OK, I’ll buy that. Really.
Set on a backdrop of bamboo chopsticks and wasabi, players compete with cucumber and salmon roe on top pieces of sushi.
“We like to think out-of-the-box and provide a rich visual experience in any application we develop,” said Chris Renaldi, founder laboratories Blur. “And when we thought backgammon, we naturally thought of sushi – it provides that the visual brightness and attractiveness player we like. In addition, viscous sushi sounds are so cool!”
But if playing with a traditional Japanese cuisine does not wet your appetite, then Egyptian scarabs or theme jute bag are available for selection.
Sounds cool.
Now…I believe that Backgammon Sushi is currently available on the iTunes store.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
